What is Secret Santa?

Secret Santa is a gift exchange game where participants anonymously give gifts to each other. One person creates a group, invites participants, and once everyone joins and creates their wishlist, names are drawn to assign who gives a gift to whom.

How do I create a Secret Santa group?

Click "Create Group" and fill in the details: • Choose Group Type: Friends, Family, or Corporate • Enter a Group Name • Set an End Date for when to reveal Secret Santa • Set a Budget (Under 500, 1000, 1500, 2500, or custom amount) • Optionally include yourself in the draw Once created, you'll get a link to share with participants.

How do participants join a Secret Santa group?

The organizer shares the group link with participants. When someone clicks the link, they can join the group. After joining, they need to create a wishlist with at least 3 items or select "No specific preference" if they don't have preferences.

What happens after everyone joins?

Once the organizer feels all necessary participants have joined, they can trigger the "Draw Names" feature. This automatically assigns each person their Secret Santa recipient - the person they need to gift.

What is a wishlist and is it mandatory?

A wishlist helps your Secret Santa know what you'd like to receive. You can add items to your wishlist, OR you can select "No specific preference" if you're happy with anything. This makes it easier for your Secret Santa to choose the perfect gift.

How do I confirm I received my gift?

After receiving your gift, you can mark it as received. You can optionally upload an image of the gift and add a thank you note to your Secret Santa. This lets your Secret Santa know their gift was appreciated!

When can we reveal who our Secret Santa is?

The organizer can trigger the "Reveal Secret Santa" feature once the end date is reached. This will show everyone who their Secret Santa was, making the gift exchange complete and allowing everyone to thank their Secret Santa.

Can the organizer participate in the Secret Santa?

Yes! When creating the group, there's a checkbox option "Include me in the draw as well" that allows the organizer to also participate and receive a gift.

What are the budget options available?

You can set a budget for your Secret Santa group. Options include: • Under ₹500 • Under ₹1000 • Under ₹1500 • Under ₹2500 • Or set a custom amount This helps ensure gifts are within everyone's comfort zone.

What are the different group types?

You can choose from three group types when creating a Secret Santa: • **Friends**: For casual friend groups • **Family**: For family members • **Corporate**: For office or professional settings This helps set the tone and context for the gift exchange.

Can I change my wishlist after joining?

Yes, you can update your wishlist at any time before the organizer draws names. Make sure your wishlist is ready before the draw happens so your Secret Santa knows what to get you.

What happens if someone doesn't join before the draw?

The organizer can remind them to join. If they don’t join in time, they’ll be left out of the draw and won’t be able to participate once the draw is done.

Yes, creating and organizing a Secret Santa group is completely free to use.

Can I see who I'm gifting to before the reveal date?

Once the draw is made, you can see who you need to gift to. However, they won't know you're their Secret Santa until the organizer triggers the reveal on the end date.

What if I haven't received my gift yet?

If you haven't received your gift by the end date, you can still mark it when you do receive it. The reveal can happen on the end date regardless, so everyone can find out who their Secret Santa was.
